Collection Overview
This small collection of political campaign posters spans a variety of years. The collection consists of presidential campaign posters, William Kerr Scott's North Carolina governor poster, and Wake County, central, and eastern North Carolina local political campaign ephemera and posters.
Contents of the Collection

Political campaign posters and campaign ephemera printed by The Card Shop, 317 1/2 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Most of the posters and other items in this body of material pertain to local Wake County, central, and eastern North Carolina political campaigns. The Card Shop was owned and operated by Mr. Bill Fleming from the 1950's through the late 1980's. These materials were originally given to the Raleigh City Museum by Mr. Fleming's daughter, Laura Fleming of Raleigh, NC. The Raleigh City Museum transferred them to the North Carolina State Archives in November 2009. Other material from The Card Shop was donated to the North Carolina Museum of History around the same time.
