These photographs were originally part of the Denver Post Historical Collection.The photograph collection consists of twenty four (24) photographs of various North Carolina related subjects, including views of stills and whiskey making, raccoons and opossums, and a Cherokee Indian fair. Several photos contain portraits or candid shots of Governor William B. Umstead, 1953-1954, as well as views of various North Carolinians such as Mrs. Charles W. Tillett of the 1944 Democratic National Convention, Mrs. Sarah Wooten of Charlotte, Ms. Estelle Lawson, and Mr. Smith Reynolds.
