Teacup Quilters Scrapbooks, ORG.5161
Abstract
The Teacup Quilters is an organization for local quilters based in Manteo, N.C. As of 2017, the group meets weekly on Tuesdays. It is best known for its annual Priceless Pieces quilt show, held in Manteo in March each year. The show features quilts created by members of the Teacup Quilters and other quilting groups (such as the Barefoot Quilters' Bee and Hatteras Island Quilt Guild) as well as antique and heirloom quilts contributed by local families. This collection consists of four scrapbooks created by members of the Teacup Quilters from 2004 to 2012. The scrapbooks largely contain photographs, news clippings, and exhibit labels documenting the annual Priceless Pieces quilt shows hosted by the group. Photographs and labels for each quilt displayed at the shows are included.
