    Papers and photographs relating to Sergeant Rouse's World War II tour of duty in the Civil Air Patrol at Coastal Patrol Base 21, Beaufort, North Carolina. Papers include a letter from Lt. Col. Frank E. Dawson, a leave of absence, temporary passes, programs of social events, and a record of service. Photographs include 25 of airplanes, three of trucks, 18 of crews and/or groups of personnel, 22 of individual persons, 1 composite of personnel and material, nine local views, and two of the Washington Monument. Collection also contains one cloth badge of rank (a sergeant's sleeve patch) which may be transferred to the North Carolina Museum of History.
