This small three-ring appointments notebook with 6" x 9 1/2" leaves should be used in conjunction with the official records of appointments made by Governor Sanford during his tenure, 1961-1965, the record of which will be found in his executive records. This non-record notebook is arranged by county and by out-of-state appointees or prospective appointees. The county lists are frequently accompanied with a separate "Must List". The "Must Lists" ordinarily include the names of the persons who recommended the appointees, and sometimes include comments about the prospective appointees.
