John Cader Perry was an insurance salesman who owned several pieces of property in Elizabeth City, including the homes now located at 711 First Street and 715 First Street. This memorandum book was found in the attic of his home at 715 First Street. Biographical/Historical

John Cader Perry was born 15 July 1862 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina, to Susan Sawyer Perry (1826-1896) and Cader Perry (1822-1882). He married Mary Louisa Harris (1865-1920) 29 January 1885. The couple had five children: Mattie Susan Perry (1885-1972), Verneena Perry (1889-1975), Callie Dorothy Perry (1891-1969), Mary Gertrude Perry (1894-1981), and Lloyd Cader Perry (1900-1955). John Cader Perry was an insurance salesman who owned several pieces of property in Elizabeth City, including the homes now located at 711 First Street and 715 First Street. He died 17 November 1930. This memorandum book was found in the attic of his home at 715 First Street.
