Biographical/Historical
Tex Ray Gallop was born around 1960 in Dare County. His parents were Rosalie Austin Gallop and Earl F. Gallop of Wanchese. He had three sisters and two brothers. Tex became a commercial fisherman and married Janet Jordan. He was an early supporter of developing a crawfishing industry in Dare County.
